I would seem that paranormal activity could occur in the light as well as the dark; however investigations in the light would be more easily documented.

because it’s usually on t.v. and the producers of the show want it to look all scary and mysterious. Of course they probably do investigate in the day too.
just like in a scary movie it’s always night time and rainy with thunder and lightning when the scary parts start happening.

First, this assumption is simply not true.
Mikey is right that it makes for scarier TV shows and so this is what you usually see but if you went on investigations you may find this is not always the case.
The other reason why I have done it is to duplicate the conditions under which something was experienced as closely as possible. If a ghost was seen at night in the dark then I want to be there at night in the dark to possibly see what the person reported. If a passing car light hit the mirror in the room and the person reported a light floating quickly by in the room then I am unlikely to find this explanation in the daytime or with the room fully lit.

Spirits can be seen easier in the dark. As they are energy, it’s harder to see them when you have all the light.

Paranormal activity can occur either in the day or the night. Most activity occurs from 11pm to 5am This is when the veil between plains is the most thin with the least interference from the "living". I have documented some paranormal activity during the daylight but most occurs during the times mentioned. Keep an open but analytical mind.

I have seen more ghosts in the light then the dark. I don’t understand where the looking in the dark thing comes from. Sometimes they are every thin looking and you can barely see them, at night would not see them at all.

Most paranormal investigators have day jobs, so that is one reason they investigate at night.
Plus, if the haunting is in a building where there’s a lot of activity in it, like a restaurant, then it’s better to do the investigation when the business is closed to the public.

I have experienced activity that happen in a place that is known for being haunted midday. It was one of the better investigations I have ever done.
It doesn’t always happen at night,
most investigators prefer night time, due to it being more quite, less outside noise, traffic etc.. Your trying to create an environment with less sound. Example :Birds don’t make noise at night. The more you can control the place your investigating the easier it is to pick up on any activity.

Excellent question. I’m jealous I didn’t think of it myself. You’re so right, it could happen just as well in the light. Do you think it does? Or do you think that night is the spirit world’s day? I think it should. I wonder how a paranormal expert would answer this? Would they have an answer? Why haven’t they ever mentioned it? Activity is thought to occur in the daylight just as much as in the dark; maybe more because the heat and light may provide energy. However, what most investigators want is visual proof of a manifestation (i.e., a picture or video of a ghost). The reason investigators always look in the dark is because when a ghost manifests itself, it tends to be rather translucent (or see through), and the current belief in the field is that because of this translucency, sunlight, or other forms of light, will make it difficult to see ghosts, and thus it will be easier to see, and photograph, ghosts in the dark.

You never hear of people seeing ghosts in the light. They may hear them then, but if they manifest it’s usually faint. Light would wash them out and you wouldn’t see them at all.
