I mean for some lowlives it’s beer pong, not getting enough sleep, getting drunk and smoking pot every night. Yet those same kids got really good grades to be in an ivy league school. My cousin goes to an ivy school and a lot of what she sees are just drunk crazy kids.

That said, a lot of these kids probably already have a silver spoon up their ass. A lot of Ivy students have a lot to fall back on already – some already have jobs lined up in Mommy or Daddy’s company (or their friends) and when you do, you know you don’t need to work too hard.

If there’s a silver lining, it’s that a lazy rich generation usually fails. The Hilton family built a dynasty. Paris is frittering it away. When her kids (God help us, she’ll probably have some) get to that point, they just might have to work – Granddaddy Hilton’s moved all the trust to charity for good reasons.

I’m going to give you three job titles, what I did at those positions, and the sentences on my resume, and lets see if you can make them sound any better. I know that whats on my resume right now is weak but I need it very concise, I am trying to highlight my education and not the experince listed here. Fyi, I’ll be applying for environmental technology jobs which might involve either office, field, or Laboratory work.

JOB Intern – department of fisheries and oceans
shadowed fishery officers daily. used their GPS software to track boats, accompanied detachment supervisor on meeting with high level fishery officers. worked in the field catching poachers. experienced stake outs. helped the clerk file and process fishing license applications. answered phones/questions, participated in local festival and PR activities.

The project cleaned up a pond previously filled with medical waste. unfortunately i was hired after the pond had be changed into a hiking trail and community garden. i did mostly gardening work, much of it was labor intensive, planting trees, watering a couple hundred plants daily, mowing a couple huge fields weekly. in relation to my training i also advised keeping some stick debris in the pond (it looked bad but its good for the health), and advised on what paint to use for a rock mural. I also helped plan a compost pile (i’m not sure if the plans ever got carried out).

Why can't I draw unemployment?
I got a DUI and my employer fired me. They said it was a misconduct issue. I was required to hold a valid CDL. I was honest with my employer about the situation. My job required me to do other things besides drive. To make a long story short, I don’t think I should be denied unemployment. I appealed the first denial, and lost.
I have heard that a coworker was fired for stealing, and was not denied unemployment. I just don’t understand the way unemployment operates. I don’t think its fair, that I get denied and he did not. I can’t say this is true information, about the coworker because I heard it through the grape vine. Thanks for your comments……

You receive unemployment for losing a job through no fault of your own. Your drove drunk, lost your CDL, are lucky you didn’t kill someone, and now you’re whining about this.

The Dark (2005)

People say i need help. Do I?
I talk, sing, hum, or hurt myself when I don’t realize it. I also feel like there is a little girl in my room. I even clear a space for her sometimes on my bed, or even sleep on the floor so she can sleep in the bed. I usually ask her questions and tell her things. I even know what she looks like.

I talk to inanimate objects. I sit in the dark more than I sit in the light. I do things even though I know they will hurt. I wake up and think my dreams were real. I laugh for no reason. I have tried to kill myself more than once. And, I hate being around people.

I’ve told my parents about it, (not the little girl though) and they think I need therapy. I always refuse but, my friends think I maybe should go try. My parents and sibling also think I might have Schizophrenia,Paranoia, or ADHD.

I have bad mood swings and almost always want to be alone. I hate big places and LOVE tiny places such as boxes. I almost never sleep and hate it when I do. I sometimes cry for no reason and sometimes get frustrated out of nowhere, and if it’s not out of nowhere I get frustrated EASILY. I am getting frustrated writing this, now.

In a bit of a pickle, want to go to bed!?
Very bizarre question; never thought i’d ever have to ask.

I’ve been hearing a cat whining outside for around an hour now, bearing in mind it is daft o’clock at night.

I’ve finally looked out my window and i can see two kittens on the roof of my nabours house, who appear to be stuck. As it is snowing quite bad outside, i’m slightly concerned.

I’m not sure what i can do, can i ring some animal rescue service to come help them out? I’m in the UK, and I realise it is midnight so i can’t exactly get my ladder out and start climbing on my nabours roof. I don’t even have a ladder…

I’m sure i wont sleep if i don’t do anything about it, i realise i’m probably the only one aware of them as everyone will be in bed by now. They wont last long out there on the roof, especially in this weather, they’ve been sqealing for over an hour now.

Anyone know of any services i can ring here in the uk?
